Blog meet-up. Mostly gaijin guys, but about 3 Japanese and 2 other women. It's sort of a strange demographic somehow--I would think more women than men keep a journal. Went to robot demonstration in afternoon at Tokyo Institute of Technology. Brazillian graduate student showed me around and translated for me. Mostly rescue robots and some space probe-type equipment. Tried to find another lab which was more related to HCI and ended up crashing a seminar on global e-learning.Yesterday, language exchange at El Torito's with two women. Fun and learned a lot of vocabulary. Workshop with class to learn about traditional Japanese culture--calligraphy, kimono, ikebana(flower arranging) and tea ceremony.
Morning--3 women in bicycles with little boy in uniform in basket or back seat. One dad holding hand of little girl in galoshes. Many kids in uniforms yesterday, think there's a school nearby.
Too tired right now, so just some quick notes, will finish tomorrow....
